Our client, a government agency, faced a significant challenge: they had four applications with no automated regression or unit tests. This meant they were wasting a lot of time manually running test cases and had no way to track down problems to their root cause.
This issue was costing the client over $10,000 per year in overtime for testers, due to delays in executing various projects. Something had to be done.
That's when CleverIT stepped in. The client needed QA as a Service to solve their problems, meaning automating and optimizing their testing process.
Our team of experts proposed a solution that involved implementing a custom framework to automate functional testing, creating a suite of automated regression tests, and evangelizing DevTestOps practices through workshops. To do this, they assembled a team of two software development engineers in testing (SDETs) certified in ISTQB Foundation level, Agile, Test Manager, test automation, and Scrum Master.
The results were impressive. The client now has a framework for test management, automated functional and regression testing, as well as unit tests for new projects. They have also integrated everything into Azure DevOps, eliminating the need for licenses for other tools. As a result, our client has saved over $10,000 per year in overtime hours spent on testing.
By implementing QA as a Service, the client has been able to optimize their testing process, reduce costs, and increase efficiency. They can now release applications with confidence, knowing that their testing process is robust and reliable.
