Our client is a large retail company that sells appliances, furniture, electronic devices, computers and various consumer products, and that serves customers throughout Chile. The company has more than 2,000 employees. Updating digital products is vital for a business, when the product is developed on a scalable technology and is made to grow, updates and improvements are much easier to do, but when they are obsolete and inconsistent technologies, it creates problems that translate into millions of dollars in losses. Our client had inconsistencies between the technology that supported their previous OMS, the new OMS they wanted to implement, and the technology implemented in the e-commerce platform. When Cyberday arrived, these inconsistencies caused errors that led to the website crashing and losses of $3.5 million per hour.
CleverIT implemented QA as a Service, assigning a team of professionals completely dedicated to this Project: 2 software developers for Testing, a Test Manager, and a Scrum Master. We designed and implemented a Design System and integrated several Frameworks: Selenium, JUnit and Cucumber. Additionally, we design, write and execute manual tests and a testing plan on Azure. The process consisted of user stories completed in 15 sprints, identifying several critical errors in the operation of the web thanks to stress and load tests. Working together with our client, we were able to attack every existing functional problem and those that appeared during the sprints.
Product quality was assured at 80%, delivering a project that is 60% automated, with automatic and dynamic customer journeys, and an automation project for regression tests, for critical points of the application.
