Finding a new job is difficult, finding one in the midst of a pandemic is even harder. During the health crisis, employers and employees alike were required to expose themselves to sign contracts, putting the health of their families, notary staff and their own health at risk.
Completely manual processes were a very real problem in the Chilean Labor Department, which needed to change to be more inclusive, protect people and make them enjoy the process.
Our client is a government services office that was working on a hybrid Agile-Waterfall model. At CleverIt Group, we work under the agile framework, which allows us to iterate and continuously improve our development and testing process, but our client's development team was not doing so at the time.
Our client wanted to improve their digital ecosystem, and although Azure DevOps was not a well-known tool, we implemented it because it was necessary for the application lifecycle (versions, compilation and deployment), together with the tests of the Test Manage lifecycle, this benefited many processes and subsequent learning from our client.
For this project, we developed microservices in .NET Core. These microservices allowed us to create a highly scalable, Kubernetes-based application contained in OpenShift and microsites hosted in the Azure cloud.
We developed a application that manages the logic of generating and administering employment contracts in a digital and transparent way.
As a result, we created a solution that standardises the creation of new contracts, validated by the labor inspection office and signed using a unique password that every Chilean resident has. Easy, digital, better.
The application is truly improving people's lives and is available to all employers and employees in Chile.
