Our client, a retail group with 40 years in the market and a presence in Chile, Peru, Colombia and Uruguay, faced the challenge of diversify your offering, improve the customer experience in stores. To achieve this objective, and after technical advice from CleverIt, it was decided to develop a mobile application that would cover the offerings of all its brands, expanding the reach to customers who prefer mobile devices with a better shopping experience in the palm of their hand.
The proposed solution was to develop a Progressive Web Application (PWA) that would be a pilot model and would then evolve into a native application that integrates with the current vendor and the group's internal systems. The PWA would offer an attractive and unique shopping experience for customers of all brands, from registration to product delivery, all on a platform accessible from mobile devices.
After developing a PWA as a proof of concept for one of its brands, the customer officially launched it in 2023. The PWA includes user registration and data storage, as well as options to purchase, ship and scan products using QR codes. The goal was to improve the user experience and provide greater ease of use when making purchases. The development of the PWA is ongoing, and the customer is committed to implementing innovative technologies to strengthen their brands and meet customer needs.
1. Diversification of supply: With the development of the PWA, different brands are allowed to expand their offer and diversify it by offering customers a more personalized shopping experience. Customers can access a wider catalog of products, explore different brands and discover new options, providing a greater variety of shopping options and a richer experience.
2. Customer autonomy: Customers have the ability to create their own shopping experience autonomously. They can browse products, filter and sort according to their preferences, add items to the shopping cart, and make transactions without the need for seller intervention or assistance. This gives customers a sense of control and freedom to make decisions based on their own needs and preferences.
3. Integration with the in-store seller app: Smooth integration with the application already developed for retailers in physical stores is encouraged. This means that inventory, order and transaction data can be synchronized between the PWA and the seller application, making it easier to manage orders, update inventories in real time and coordinate deliveries. The integration between these two applications allows for a more efficient workflow and smoother communication between customers and sellers.
The results of this project, developed by the CleverIT expert team, have been outstanding for our client. The PWA has increased sales by improving the shopping experience and attracting more customers. It has also expanded the brand's market share by providing advantages and facilities in the buying process, increasing their market share and presence. In addition, it has allowed easy management of user data, providing a personalized experience and promoting customer loyalty.
The implementation of the PWA has allowed the customer to reach a greater number of users, since it is available on mobile devices and does not require the download of a specific application.
